Notice of Emerging Scam
The Ontario Land Tribunal has become aware of an ongoing scam involving fraudulent emails that request additional payments or fees in connection with an application or appeal. Please be advised that the Tribunal only requires the payment of a filing fee when an application or appeal is submitted. The Tribunal will not contact parties to request additional fees or funds as part of the application or appeal process.
If you have received a suspicious message, do not click any links or provide personal information.
Report the incident to the local police or contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre online or by calling 1-888-495-8501.
If you are unsure whether a communication is legitimate, please contact the Tribunal directly before taking any action.
